Tarjei Knapstad has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Tarjei started their career in 2000 as a Research Assistant at NTNU. From there, they worked as a Computer Science Manager at PrediChem AS for five years. Tarjei then joined KS2 Technologies AS as a Computer Science Manager for a brief period. Subsequently, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at emgs for two years. Tarjei then moved on to Acando, where they served as a Senior Consultant for six years. Currently, they are employed at Norbit Group as a Senior Project Engineer, a position they have held since 2015.

From 1995 to 1999, Tarjei Knapstad pursued their MSc in Physical Chemistry at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).
