John Townsend currently serves as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at NOPSEMA, a position held since September 2006. Prior to this role, John was a Product Manager at HarvestRoad from February 2000 to August 2006 and worked as a Systems Accountant at Silver Chain Group between August 1998 and January 2000. John began their career as a Systems Planner at Landgate, serving from February 1981 to August 1998, specifically in the Office of Titles within the Department of Land Administration. John Townsend holds a Master’s Degree in Information Innovation from RMIT University, earned between 1996 and 2000, and a Diploma in Legal Studies from North Metropolitan TAFE, completed between 1982 and 1986. Early education was completed at Trinity College Perth from 1972 to 1980.
