Andrew Payne, PhD, is an accomplished professional in the fields of physiology and neuroscience with a focus on addiction research. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine since September 2020, Andrew also holds the position of Affiliate Research Faculty at Brigham Young University while having completed a Doctoral degree in Neuroscience there in 2019. A significant aspect of Andrew's research addresses the neural substrates of addiction under the mentorship of Dr. Scott Steffensen. Prior experience includes adjunct teaching at Utah Valley University, various engineering roles at Heliae, LLC, and undergraduate research positions at Arizona State University and The Flexible Display Center. Andrew's work spans research, academia, and applied engineering, contributing to multiple projects impacting addiction treatment and production optimization.
