Senior Director, Marketing And Communications at Nonprofit Finance Fund

Tessa Borelli has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Tessa started their career at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in 2005, where they worked as an Assistant to the Director of the Preparatory & Adult Extension Division. In this role, they managed enrollment, registration, and billing for over 500 students and administered a grant for the Conservatory's outreach program.

Tessa then moved on to the Youth Leadership Institute in 2007, where they initially served as the Training Institute Coordinator. In this position, they coordinated marketing and logistics for national training programs and managed program contracts. Tessa later became the Assistant to the Vice President of Community-Based Programs and served as a Human Resources Liaison. In this role, they drafted external communications, monitored grant requirements, and managed internal communications for executive directives.

In 2009, Tessa returned to the San Francisco Conservatory of Music as an Associate Director. Here, they collaborated with the marketing team to align recruitment strategies and managed the admission process for over 1,000 applicants. Tessa also oversaw promotional events and logistics for auditions.

Tessa joined the Nonprofit Finance Fund in 2012, starting as an Associate in the Programs and Operations department. Tessa coordinated marketing and presentation materials, supported business development efforts, and established processes for program metrics reporting. Tessa then progressed to roles as a Senior Associate and Manager, where they worked on website redesign, thought leadership pieces, and social media campaigns. Finally, they served as an Associate Director and Director of Marketing and Communications, where they developed and executed digital marketing strategies, organized marketing campaigns, and led editorial processes.

Throughout their work experience, Tessa has demonstrated strong skills in marketing, communications, project management, and content creation.

Tessa Borelli pursued their education in music, specializing in Violoncello Performance. From 1999 to 2002, they attended The New School, where they obtained a Bachelor of Music degree. Tessa then furthered their studies at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music from 2002 to 2004, earning a Master of Music degree in Violoncello Performance.
