Ricardo Pereira has worked in the technology industry since 2010. In 2010, they were an Investigador Científico e Tecnológico at INESC Porto. In 2011, they began working at Nonius as a Software Engineer, where they developed interactive television solutions for the hotel industry. Ricardo was involved in the project from the beginning and found it rewarding to see the project evolve and be used by thousands of people.

Ricardo Pereira obtained a Licenciatura in Engenharia Electrotécnica e de Computadores from Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto between 2007 and 2010. Ricardo then went on to obtain a Mestrado in Engenharia das Telecomunicações from the same school between 2010 and 2012. In 2020, they obtained three certifications from Udemy, including "Vue - The Complete Guide (w/ Router, Vuex, Composition API)", "The Complete JavaScript Course 2020: From Zero to Expert!", and "Advanced CSS and Sass: Flexbox, Grid, Animations and More!".
