Shankar Gopidas is a seasoned professional in the field of networking and technology with extensive experience in leadership roles. Currently serving as Senior Director of Americas Solutions Engineering at Nokia since July 2018, Shankar has also been the Founder of Control Freaks, an interest group focused on Software Defined Networking and related technologies, since June 2013. As Co-Founder and Investor at inXed, Inc. since June 2014, Shankar has been instrumental in various innovative tech ventures. Previous roles include Director of Customer Success at Viptela from 2015 to 2017, and leadership positions at Cisco Systems, where Shankar headed the Services and Support Tools Technology Group, as well as technical support roles at Oracle Corporation and Borland. Educational qualifications include multiple degrees in Computer Science, Media Technology, Physics, and Applied Science from institutions such as North Dakota State University and Indiana State University.
