Koen Willemsen is an accomplished Senior Clinical Scientist specializing in Medical 3D Technology at UMC Utrecht since 2016, where leadership of a research team focuses on integrating medical technology, 3D modeling, and AI. As Coordinator and Co-founder of the 3D lab UMCU, Koen oversees staff and guides research projects while also serving as a certified team physician for the international rugby circuit with World Rugby. Koen has an extensive background in rugby as a player for the Dutch Rugby Union and has participated in international competitions.
