George Dabney has extensive work experience in the finance and real estate industries. George is currently serving as the Principal and Chief Financial Officer at Noble Investment Group, a role they started in December 2020. Prior to this, George worked at Thayer Lodging, Brookfield Hotel Properties for 19 years as the Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer. In this role, they led the management team and oversaw a $3 billion asset under management. George also originated over $3 billion in loans and built strong banking relationships. Before joining Thayer Lodging, George served as the Controller at National Government Properties from 1998 to 2001. Prior to that, they worked at Town and Country Trust as an Accounting Officer, where they were responsible for preparing financial statements and led diligence efforts on acquisitions. George started their career at Ernst & Young LLP in 1988, where they served as a Manager and advised large commercial clients in the real estate, financial services, and manufacturing industries. George also supervised teams of accountants and conducted audits and acquisition reviews. George was also an instructor at various firm-sponsored training courses.
George Dabney earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Penn State University, where they studied from 1984 to 1988. Later, they pursued a Masters degree in Financial Management at the University of Maryland Global Campus from 1999 to 2001.
