Juan Pablo Burzaco has held several positions in the agricultural industry since 2007. In 2007, they were an Intern at the National Institute of Agricultural Technology (INTA) in Pergamino, Argentina, where they researched maize ecophysiology under the direction of Dr. A. Cirilo. From 2008 to 2010, they worked for the Argentine Association of Regional Consortiums for Agricultural Experimentation (AACREA) as an I+D Proyecto Triguero. In this role, they analyzed fertilization and crop management practices for wheat, simulated wheat crops for a software program, and tutored agronomists and technicians in the usage of the program. From 2010 to 2012, they worked at Purdue University as a Research Assistant and MS student, where they coordinated research crews for field sampling and lab testing, and wrote scientific publications from the data generated in the research program. From 2012 to 2022, they worked at J.R. Simplot Company as a Regulatory Affairs Manager, Regulatory Scientist, and Associate Regulatory Agronomist. In this role, they led efforts for approval of biotech products in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Japan, and Singapore, and interfaced and communicated with U.S. regulatory agencies. In 2021, they also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the Georgia Institute of Technology. In 2022, they began working as a Senior Manager Regulatory Affairs at Nobell Foods.
Juan Pablo Burzaco obtained their Bsc. in Agronomy from the University of Buenos Aires in 2007. Juan Pablo then went on to earn their Master of Science in Agronomy and Crop Science from Purdue University in 2012. In 2020, they began their Master of Science in Analytics at the Georgia Institute of Technology and is expected to complete the program in 2022. In May of 2022, they also obtained their Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification from the Georgia Tech Supply Chain & Logistics Institute.
