Aaron Van Natter has over 20 years of experience in various engineering roles. Aaron most recently worked as a Research Engineer at Ford Motor Company starting in 2023. From 2019 to 2023, they were a Solutions Architect at Dassault Systèmes. Prior to that, they were at Rivian from 2016 to 2018, where they served as a Systems Engineering Lead and Requirements Engineering Process Lead, overseeing the creation and management of vehicle-level requirements.
Before Rivian, Van Natter worked at Ricardo from 2005 to 2016, first as a Senior Engineer and later as a Chief Engineer. In these positions, they led R&D projects, developed lightweight technologies for combat vehicles, and optimized vehicle requirements targets. Aaron also worked as a Body Engineer at MSX International in 2005.
Earlier in their career, Van Natter was a CAE Engineer at Wagon Engineering Inc in 2004, where they specialized in vehicle concept development and lightweighting. From 2000 to 2004, they were a Lead CAE Engineer at MSX International, managing analysis projects and optimizing restraint systems. In 1999, they served as a CAE Team Leader at Engineering Solid Solutions, leading a team to analyze golf cars for durability. Aaron began their career as a Project Engineer at Engineering Technology Associates, Inc. in 1996, providing fatigue life analysis and frequency response analysis for various projects.
Aaron Van Natter earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan in 1994.
