Stephanie Curcio has a diverse work experience in the legal field, with a focus on intellectual property. Stephanie is currently the CEO and Co-Founder of NLPatent, starting in September 2021. Prior to that, they held various positions at the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA), including Vice-Chair of the Emerging Technologies Committee and Member of the Artificial Intelligence Task Force. Stephanie also served as Co-Chair of the AI Subcommittee from November 2019 to October 2021. Before their time at AIPLA, Stephanie was a Co-Founder of Legalicity from April 2018 to August 2021. Stephanie also worked as an Intellectual Property Associate at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP from August 2016 to April 2018. Stephanie gained experience in the legal field as a Student at Law in the Intellectual Property department at Gowling WLG Canada from August 2015 to June 2016. Additionally, they had a secondment at The Coca-Cola Company as a Student at Law in March 2016. Stephanie started their legal career as a Summer Law Student at Gowling WLG Canada from May 2014 to August 2014.

Stephanie Curcio pursued their education in a well-rounded manner, demonstrating their passion for both law and science. Stephanie began their academic journey in 2006 at the University of Toronto Scarborough, where they obtained an Honours Bachelor of Science degree with Distinction in Neuroscience, graduating in 2010.

Following their undergraduate studies, Stephanie went on to pursue a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree at Western University, completing the program from 2012 to 2015. During their time at Western University, they gained a comprehensive understanding of law and specialized in the field.

Stephanie also took advantage of several unique opportunities to broaden their academic horizons. In 2013, they participated in the Duke-Geneva Institute in Transnational Law at the University of Geneva, further expanding their legal knowledge and perspectives. In 2014, they engaged in an international exchange program at Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen, which provided their with a valuable cross-cultural experience.
