Katie Bakewell began their career in 2011 as an Academic Tutor at Florida State College at Jacksonville, where they created, maintained, and updated schedules for student workers and peers, tutored mathematics for students with a variety of skill levels, and utilized Access and MS SharePoint to create statistics and track monthly trends for Learning Commons usage. In 2013, they joined NLP Logix as a Modeling and Analytics Team Lead and Data Scientist, where they led development of AI solutions for clients in a variety of industries, architected data science and automation solutions, developed, tested, and deployed machine learning and statistical models in Python and R.

Katie Bakewell began their educational journey at Florida State College at Jacksonville, where they obtained an Associate of Arts (AA) in 2009. Katie then went on to the University of North Florida, where they received a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Statistics in 2013. Finally, they completed their education at the University of North Florida with a Master's of Science in Mathematical Science in 2017. In addition, Katie Bakewell also holds a Results Based Accountability Professional Certification from Clear Impact, LLC, which they obtained in December 2020.
