Daan Marks is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in economic development and policy advisory roles. Currently serving as Directeur and Managing Director a.i. at NLinBusiness since March 2018, Daan Marks has held various strategic positions, managing projects and programs. Prior roles include Coordinating Policy Advisor at the Ministerie van Financiën and Advisor to the Executive Director at the World Bank Group, where Daan Marks provided strategic advice on economic development. Additional experience includes senior policy advising at the Ministerie van Financiën, post-doctoral research and teaching at Universiteit Utrecht, and a PhD research project on Indonesia’s economic history. Daan Marks holds a PhD in Economic Development of Indonesia from Utrecht University, an MSc in International Economics from the University of Amsterdam, and an MA in Indonesian Languages and Cultures from Leiden University.
