Thomas Vestergaard Andersen has extensive work experience in the photonics industry. Thomas joined NKT Research in 2006 as a Research Scientist and worked there until 2009. Following that, they joined NKT Photonics and held various roles including Senior Research Scientist from 2009 to 2013, Group Manager from 2013 to 2015, Engineering Manager from 2015 to 2017, and Senior Engineering Manager from 2017 to 2019. In 2020, they became the Director of R&D Super Continuum at NKT Photonics.

Thomas Vestergaard Andersen received their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physics from Aarhus University, where they studied from 1997 to 2006.
