Stephanie Horvath

Asynchronous ASL Adjunct at Niswonger Foundation

Stephanie Horvath is a Tenure Track Assistant Professor for ASL/Deaf Studies at Maryville College since July 2022, and also serves as an Asynchronous ASL Adjunct for Niswonger Foundation since January 2022. In addition, Stephanie holds the position of ASL Honor Society Membership Coordinator for the American Sign Language Honor Society since September 2021, and previously worked as an Interpreter Education Specialist for Sorenson Communications from April 2022 to June 2023. Prior experience includes roles as an ASL Clinical Assistant Professor at East Tennessee State University and ASL Connect ASL Pals Coordinator at Gallaudet University. Additionally, Stephanie has taught ASL at the Tennessee School For The Deaf and served as an Elementary School Teacher at Texas School For the Deaf. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Education in Higher Education Leadership from East Tennessee State University, a Master’s degree in Deaf Education from McDaniel College, and a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with a Teaching Emphasis from California State University- Channel Islands.
