Courtney Bryan has extensive work experience in the criminal justice field. Courtney worked as a Project Attorney for the National Clearinghouse for the Defense of Battered Women from August 2004 to September 2005. Courtney then joined the Legal Aid Society as a Staff Attorney in the Criminal Defense Practice from July 2005 to April 2008. Following this, they worked at the Center for Court Innovation, first as the Coordinator of Domestic Violence Programs from April 2008 to July 2009, and then as the Project Director for the Midtown Community Court from July 2009 to May 2014. From April 2014 to January 2023, Courtney served as the Director of Criminal Justice Programs at the Center for Justice Innovation. Courtney also held leadership positions at JPMorgan Chase & Co. as the Executive Director and Head of East Region, Global Philanthropy from October 2017 to February 2020. In March 2020, they became the Executive Director of the Center for Justice Innovation and currently holds this position. Additionally, Courtney served as the Staff Director for the Independent Commission on New York City Criminal Justice and Incarceration Reform from April 2016 to April 2017.
Courtney Bryan received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and French from the University of Georgia in 1998. Courtney later obtained a Juris Doctor degree from Temple University School of Law in 2004.
