Tanja Micić Ponjiger is a Data Science Expert and Lead R&D Engineer at NIS a.d. Novi Sad since July 2016, specializing in data analytics and machine learning models in petrophysics and oil and gas production. Tanja has extensive experience in optimizing data management workflows, participating in ML hackathons, and developing classification models for lithology and fractured zone predictions. Additionally, Tanja serves as a Research Assistant and PhD Candidate at the University of Novi Sad, focusing on physical geography and GIS applications. Tanja's academic background includes a Doctor of Science degree in Geological and Earth Sciences, a Master of Science in Geoinformatics, and a Bachelor of Science in Geography with Honours, complemented by international experience at Loughborough University.
