Anneke Vries is currently a PhD candidate at NIOZ Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research, focusing on glacier-fjord interactions in Greenland using data analysis. Previously, Anneke worked as a researcher on electricity market modeling at Planbureau voor de Leefomgeving, studying the impact of the European Power Sector on Dutch greenhouse gas emissions. Additional experience includes serving as a teaching assistant for fluid mechanics at Universiteit Utrecht and a data scientist and editor at KR&A, where real estate data was analyzed and research articles were authored. Anneke also contributed to sustainable fashion projects as an internship project manager at the Institute for Sustainable Process Technology and provided tutoring in mathematics and physics while working at WisMon and Stichting Studiebegeleiding Leiden. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Climate Physics from Utrecht University and a Bachelor of Science, Cum Laude, in Earth and Environmental Sciences from Amsterdam University College.
