Jon Carbajal has extensive work experience in the renewable energy industry, particularly in the field of energy storage. Jon is currently working as the Director of Product at NineDot Energy since May 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Director of ESS Development at 174 Power Global from March 2021 to May 2022, and Director of Energy Storage at Edison Energy, LLC from April 2020 to March 2021.
Jon has also gained significant experience at Enel X, where they served as a Technical Sales Manager in Eastern North America from December 2018 to April 2020, and as a Sales Engineer from August 2017 to April 2020. Earlier in their career, they worked at Younicos as a Senior Sales Application Engineer from May 2016 to August 2017, and as a Product Solutions Manager from June 2016 to May 2017.
Furthermore, Jon has also worked as a Research Analyst Intern at Capricorn Investment Group, a Project Manager at the Sustainable Engineering Lab at Columbia University, a Solar Systems Engineer at SunDurance Energy, a Solar Engineer Intern at Mercury Solar Systems, and a Power Engineer COOP at National Grid.
Jon Carbajal has a strong educational background in engineering and sustainability management. Jon holds a Master of Science degree in Sustainability Management from Columbia University, which they obtained from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering at Cornell University from 2009 to 2010. Jon also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University, which they obtained from 2005 to 2009. In addition to their degrees, Jon has certifications as a Certified Solar Installer from NABCEP and as an Engineer in Training from NYS.
