Bobb made a deliberate choice to enter the language industry before entering the language industry was cool. After six years in the South of France, gaining his foundational education, skills, and experience, he returned to the US in 2001 to become a graduate of the second class of the University of Washington’s localization project management program. Bobb has spent the better part of the past two decades in hands-on leadership positions within the industry focusing on: global readiness; geocultural, geopolitical, and diversity research and consulting; sensitive, taboo, and offensive terminology and concepts; creative, brand and marketing internationalization and adaptation; and working with minority and indigenous language communities. Bobb loves helping others understand the intersectionality of culture and language and how that shapes global communication.
