Qiao Li is currently a PhD candidate in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Denver. He received his B.Eng degree in automation engineering from Guizhou University, receiving an Outstanding Bachelor’s Thesis Award, and his M.Eng in control theory and control engineering from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA). In graduate school, Qiao specialized in research for micro Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and Battery Management Systems (BMS). His doctorate work has been focused on advanced control and optimization methods for power systems and microgrids, and has had extensive experience working for projects funded by the National Science Foundation, US Department of Energy, and National Renewable Energy Laboratory.
Qiao’s previous work experience includes a software engineering position at Bentley Systems, where he focused on AI-driven water systems and power system forecasting toolboxes.
