Dena (Gillette) Bateman is an experienced instructional designer currently working at Nike since October 2022, providing strategic support for the Training & Literacy team. Dena's diverse background includes roles as a substitute teacher for North Clackamas Schools and as a foster parent for Oregon DHS. Dena previously served as a project coordinator at AVID Center, where efforts focused on enhancing educational opportunities for long-term English learners and expanding AVID's reach in Oregon. Additional experience includes managing implementation support at the Institute for Professional Care Education and overseeing event management at Weddings at First Presbyterian Church, where significant revenue growth was achieved. Dena holds a Project Management Certificate from Portland State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Northwest University.
