Karen McGrane has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Karen most recently worked at NIIT Limited, starting as a Project Manager in June 2016 and transitioning to a Delivery Manager role in July 2018. Karen then became the Director of Delivery in July 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Project Manager at Interactive Services from July 2015 to June 2016.

Karen also has experience at InnerWorkings, Microsoft Academy Training Project, where they served as a Program Manager from January 2011 to January 2012. In this role, they managed a software development team and oversaw the production of training programs for Microsoft.

Before that, Karen worked at Skillsoft as a Development Manager from October 2002 to January 2005, where they successfully managed multiple projects and exceeded production targets. Karen also held the position of Director of Business Requirements at Skillsoft from January 2001 to January 2002, where they managed the gathering of customer requirements and the translation of those into workable projects.

Karen then obtained a Higher Diploma in Education from St. Patrick's College, Maynooth, Co. Kildare, from 1989 to 1990. In 2014 to 2015, Karen attended Dublin Business School, 13-14 Aungier Street, Dublin 2, where they completed a Certificate in Advanced Project Management (QQI Level 8, Special Purpose Award) with a focus on Information Technology Project Management.
