Ikenna Onoh currently serves as the Assistant Director for Health Emergency Preparedness and Response at the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention since August 2021. Prior to this role, Ikenna Onoh worked as a Health and Life Sciences Fellow at Gates Ventures from July 2023 to March 2024 and as a Research Assistant at the University of Washington's Department of Global Health from September 2022 to June 2023. Previous experience includes positions as a Clinical Research Officer (Volunteer) at the Ministry of Defence Health Implementation Programme and as a Resident Doctor specializing in Community Medicine and Public Health at University College Hospital, Ibadan. Ikenna Onoh began a medical career as a Medical Officer in various hospitals and completed a House Officer/Medical Intern program at National Hospital Abuja. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Global Health being pursued at the University of Washington, a Master of Public Health in Field Epidemiology from the University of Ibadan, and multiple degrees focused on Community Health, Epidemiology, and Medicine.
