David Balme currently serves as the General Manager of Finance at NIG Nutritionals Limited, where responsibilities include leading the finance team to support the manufacture of infant and health products, as well as goat milk products. Prior to this role, David was the General Manager Commercial at Open Country Dairy Ltd from September 2009 to May 2023, focusing on strategic direction, team management, and representation at board levels, along with overseeing the Commercial Finance Team. David's career also includes various roles within the finance team at Open Country Dairy as the organization expanded, and an earlier position as an auditor with Deloitte New Zealand, where assurance and advisory services were provided to a diverse client base. David holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting and Finance from The University of Auckland.
