Tamar Melkonian has a strong background in quality assurance and laboratory testing. Tamar is currently the Director of Quality Assurance and Laboratory Testing at Nichols Farms, where they have been working since August 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Laboratory Manager at the same company from July 2020 to August 2021. Before joining Nichols Farms, Tamar served as a Laboratory Supervisor at Food Safety Net Services from March 2019 to July 2020. Tamar also has experience as a Quality Assurance Quality Control Supervisor at Foster Farms from June 2018 to March 2019 and as a Senior Microbiologist at Safe Food Alliance from July 2015 to March 2017.

Tamar Melkonian completed their education with a Master of Science (MS) degree in Biology, General from California State University, Fresno. Tamar pursued this degree from 2016 to 2018. Prior to their master's degree, they also obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology, General from the same university, completing their undergraduate studies from 2010 to 2014.
