Sergio Tenorio Vargas has over 30 years of work experience in the technology field. Sergio began their career in 1989 as a Technician at IBM Global Business Services. In 1992, they moved to Acer America Corp. as an IT and Networking professional. In 1995, they joined TTS Personnel as a Data Base Engineer IT. In 1996, they held two positions, Professor of Electronic Engineer Carrier at Veritas University and AB Laser Engineer and Chip Shutter Engineer at Intel. In 1997, they joined Worldcom de Costa Rica as an IT Network, where they were responsible for routing equipment, designing and developing the biggest network for WorldCom Costa Rica, and investigating new technologies of Internet and high level Network solutions. In 2010, they became Core Manager at Telecable Empresarial. In 2018, they joined UFINET as Chief Technology Officer Costa Rica - Nicaragua. Sergio is currently Chief Technology Officer at NIC Costa Rica.

Sergio Tenorio Vargas obtained a Lic. in Electronic Engineering from Universidad LCI Veritas between 1993 and 1994. Sergio then went on to obtain a BA. in Electronic Engineering from Universidad Veritas between 1990 and 1993. After this, they obtained a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology between 1994 and 1996. In July 2022, they also obtained the Trello Fundamentals Badge from Atlassian.
