Kjersti Balke Hveem has extensive work experience in various roles within the fields of research, development, and engineering.
From January 2022, they have been working as the Head of Research - Agriculture Technology and the Head of NIBIO Centre for Precision Agriculture at NIBIO Norwegian Institute of Bioeconomy Research. Prior to this, they were a Researcher and Head of Centre for Precision Agriculture at the same institution from May 2020 to January 2022.
Before joining NIBIO, Kjersti worked as the R&D Director at TOPRO Industri AS from May 2016 to May 2020.
From September 2013 to May 2016, they held the position of Senior Engineer at DNV GL Energy. Prior to that, they worked as a Consultant at DNV KEMA Energy&Sustainability from September 2011 to September 2013.
Kjersti's career began as a Technical Trainee at Det Norske Veritas from August 2009 to August 2011.

Kjersti Balke Hveem pursued their education in mechanical engineering at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 2003 to 2009. During this time, they completed their Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree, specializing in mechanical engineering.
