Alsadeg Bilal is a dedicated medical student at The University of Edinburgh, pursuing a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Oncology and Cancer Biology. Currently serving as Vice President of the Academic Training and Research in Undergraduate Medicine (ATRIUM) and Co-founder of the Scottish Universities Neurological Society, Alsadeg focuses on fostering student engagement in medical academia and neurological sciences, respectively. In addition to these leadership roles, Alsadeg collaborates in research at both NHS Lothian and the NEW NEURONS NEUROSURGICAL INSTITUTE. Previous experience includes youth work, volunteering with families, and roles in retail. Alsadeg has a background in neuroscience, holding a Bachelor of Science degree, and has actively facilitated educational opportunities for peers across Scotland.
