Aileen Cano is an accomplished software engineer and teaching assistant with extensive experience in mentoring and programming, currently serving as a Teaching Assistant at Columbia University since January 2020. Aileen has held multiple software engineering internships, including roles at Zillow, 23andMe, and n*gram health, where Aileen contributed to both front-end and back-end development projects. Aileen was also a participant in the Google Software Product Sprint and Code2040 fellowship, focusing on portfolio creation and racial equity advocacy in tech. Additionally, Aileen is involved in the Rewriting the Code fellowship, supporting female undergraduates pursuing careers in technology. Aileen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science from Columbia University.
