Tom F. Hansen is an experienced engineering geologist and PhD candidate at the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute, focusing on the application of AI and digital development in geotechnical engineering. With a solid background in project management and engineering roles across various renowned companies, including Bane NOR and Jernbaneverket, Tom has managed multiple railway construction projects, emphasizing geological engineering and ground works. Tom holds a Master's degree in engineering geology/rock engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Oslo, specializing in machine learning for underground construction.
