Jeffrey Hyams has held a variety of roles in software engineering and development since 1996. Jeffrey began their career as a General Partner at Creative Computer Systems, where they provided consulting services for both network construction and internet applications. Jeffrey then worked as a Computer Specialist at the Tropical Prediction Center, where they updated software programs in C++, trained users in the UNIX (HP-UX) operating system, and tested and debugged custom system for predicting paths of hurricanes. In 1998, they began working as a Robotics Lab Research Assistant and Technical Support Specialist at the University of South Florida. From 2001 to 2003, they worked as a Software Engineer at Raytheon Technical Services, where they designed customizable forms and reports system in Java utilizing open source tools. Jeffrey then worked as a Software Engineer at Applied Perception Inc. from 2005 to 2010. During this time, they also worked as a Software Lead and Robotics Software Engineer at QinetiQ North America, where they developed the interoperability system that is now being transitioned to all Foster-Miller / QinetiQ ground and surface robots. Jeffrey then worked as a Senior Software Engineer at RE2 from 2010 to 2012 and at Neya Systems, LLC from 2012 to present.
Jeffrey Hyams earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Florida International University between 1993 and 1997. Jeffrey then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of South Florida, which they completed in 2001.
