Vanessa Watson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in communications and member engagement within various organizations. Currently serving as an Associate at Nexus Strategies since September 2021, Vanessa previously held several roles at The Chamber For a Greater Chapel Hill-Carrboro, including Director of Communications and Programs, where responsibilities included supervising the Member Engagement Specialist, designing member communications, and founding the Black Business Alliance. Additional experience includes serving as an Ambassador for The Women's Social Club, and various internships, including a marketing internship with Octagon and a student engagement internship with the UNC General Alumni Association. Vanessa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Media and Journalism from the UNC School of Media and Journalism, earned in 2017.
