Marcelo Souza is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in control software development for turbomachinery. Currently serving as a Senior Controls Engineer in product development at GE Vernova since April 2023, Marcelo specializes in control software for aeroderivative gas turbines utilized in power generation and mechanical drives. Previous roles include Senior Software Development Engineer at Nexus Controls, part of Baker Hughes, where Marcelo contributed to turbomachinery control software, and Training and Technical Capability Leader at Baker Hughes, managing technical training and capabilities for global engineering teams. Marcelo's expertise extends to leadership positions at GE Measurement & Controls and GE Energy, overseeing engineering teams and control solutions. Marcelo holds an Electrical Engineering degree from Universidade Estadual de Campinas, earned between 1991 and 1995.
