Tod Martinsen has a diverse work experience in the field of information security and network engineering. Tod is currently working as a Senior Security Engineer at Nexum, Inc. Tod joined the company in June 2021.

Prior to this, Tod worked at QsrSoft from December 2015 to April 2021 in various roles related to operations and information security.

From May 2012 to December 2015, Tod worked at Catamaran as a Lead Information Security Engineer. Tod'sresponsibilities included incident response, vulnerability assessment, security and network architecture, and leading Blue Team in Red Team exercises. Tod also investigated and resolved ePHI HIPAA incidents. During this time, they gained experience with platforms such as Qualysguard, QRadar, Palo Alto Networks, McAfee ePO, and Encase.

Before that, Tod worked at Catamaran in different roles, including Team Lead/Senior Network Engineer and Network Engineer. In these roles, they were involved in designing, implementing, and supporting network technologies. Tod also worked on data center deployments and consolidations. Tod gained experience with platforms such as F5 LTM, F5 GTM, Cisco routers and switches, Cisco PIX/ASA, Juniper SRX/EX/J-series/SA, Sonicwall, Cisco IDSM-2, IPS, Q1Labs QRadar, Gigamon, Wireshark/Netscout/Wildpackets.

Tod started their career as a Network Administrator at Catamaran in 1999 and worked in this role until 2003. During this time, they gained experience in network administration, data center design and implementation, B2B IPSEC VPN deployments, Cisco CM and IPCC Express deployment, F5 load-balancing deployment, and DR planning and testing.

Tod Martinsen obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from Loyola University Chicago between 1994 and 1996. In addition to their degree, in February 2016, they also obtained the CISSP certification from (ISC)².
