Jae Strickland, Ph.D. has had a long and varied career in education. In 2002, they began their career as a 4th Grade Teacher for Plano ISD. In 2003, they moved to Mid-Del Schools to take on the role of Literacy Coach. In 2009, they were promoted to Principal at Oklahoma City Public Schools. In 2014, they took on the role of Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In 2015, they became Head of Learning Design and Education at NextThought, LLC. Most recently, in 2019, they were appointed to the roles of Chief Academic Officer and Academic Dean at TEL Library.
Jae Strickland, Ph.D. obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Elementary Education and Teaching from Northeastern State University from 1998 to 2003. Jae then went on to earn a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from the University of Central Oklahoma from 2009 to 2011. Finally, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Educational Leadership and Higher Education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from 2014 to 2016.
