Mónica de Mier is the current CEO at Nextmol, and was previously the business development lead at Barcelona Supercomputing Center. At Barcelona Supercomputing Center, Mónica was responsible for creating long-term value for the organization by promoting relationships with the industry, finding partners for collaborative projects, raising funding (national and European calls), and bringing the R&D results to the market. Thanks to Mónica's efforts, two spin-off companies were created.

Mónica is also involved in other technology transfer tasks, such as intellectual property valorization or dissemination of the latest scientific advances in our field.

Mónica de Mier has a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, a master of science in computational mechanics from Technical University of Munich, and a PhD in computational fluid dynamics from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. Mónica also has an Executive Master of Business Administration (MBA) from ESADE Business & Law School, and has completed programs on Leading in a Global Context and Managing Change in Organizations at Georgetown University and HEC Paris respectively. Additionally, they have a certificate in Growth Development in Emerging Countries from Guanghua School of Management, and the Abengoa Management Skills Program from LOYOLA Executive Education (Universidad Loyola).
