Sjaak Jong is a highly skilled Senior Scientist at Nextkidney since September 2019, with a strong background in drug innovation developed during a PhD at Utrecht University from October 2015 to September 2019, focusing on the bottom-up development of urea sorbents for dialysate regeneration. Prior experience includes an internship at EPFL in 2015 and a position at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in 2014, specializing in synthetic and bio-organic chemistry. Sjaak Jong holds a Master’s Degree in Chemistry Molecular Design, Synthesis and Catalysis from the University of Amsterdam (2013-2015) and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (2010-2013), complemented by a high school education in Pre-University Education at Petrus Canisius College Alkmaar (2004-2010).
