Software Engineer In Test at Nexthink

Alexandra Varlam has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and quality assurance. Alexandra is currently a Software Engineer in Test at Nexthink, where they build and maintains automation testbeds for an endpoint software product. Alexandra also creates test plans, troubleshoots issues, and provides guidance to other team members.

Prior to their current role, Alexandra worked at Ixia, where they held various managerial positions. As a Manager, QA/Dev, they coordinated multiple teams and led the automation strategy for quality assurance. Alexandra also monitored security vulnerabilities, led development and QA efforts for new products, and managed customer support and recruitment.

Before Ixia, Alexandra worked at Alvarion Ltd. as an Integration Team Leader and Integration Engineer. In these roles, they developed test strategies for WiMAX products, provided support to customer support personnel, and conducted on-site testing to find hardware and software issues.

Alexandra's early work experience includes a role as a QA Engineer at ITC Networks, where they designed test plans for SNMP-based products and configured devices for real-time conditions.

Throughout their career, Alexandra has demonstrated strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and a focus on ensuring product quality.

Alexandra Varlam completed their education with a Master's degree in Computer Security from the Cybernetics Faculty at the Academy of Economics Studies in Bucharest. Alexandra pursued this degree from 2008 to 2010. Prior to their Master's degree, Alexandra obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science from the Polytechnic University of Bucharest. Alexandra studied at this institution from 2003 to 2008. In addition to their formal education, Alexandra obtained the CCNP certification from Cisco in October 2010. Alexandra also achieved the Cambridge Certificate in Proficiency English, grade A, from Cambridge English Language Assessment in September 2007.
