Thad Edmonds currently serves as the General Manager of Fleet Operations at NextEra Energy, Inc., starting in December 2024. Prior to this role, Thad held the position of Operations Director at Florida Power & Light from August 2023 to January 2025. Thad's extensive experience at NextEra Energy Resources spanned over a decade, where roles included Director of Operations, Operations AOM-Shift, Operations Shift Manager, and Senior Reactor Operator from May 2012 to August 2023. Thad also contributed to TVA as a Chemistry Supervisor from October 2007 to May 2012 and served in the US Navy from May 1994 to September 2007 as Leading ELT. Thad holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Nuclear Engineering Technologies from Thomas Edison State University and an Associate of Science in Biology from Lake Land College.
