Hanzhi (Helen) Tan has a diverse work experience. Hanzhi (Helen) began their career as an Astrophysics Research Intern at Peking University in June 2021, where they worked until August 2021. Following this, they joined SheShapes as a Program Planning Committee member from October 2021 to December 2021. In March 2022, Hanzhi became a Student Researcher at Fermilab and continued in this role until November 2022. Hanzhi (Helen) then interned as a Software Engineer at Propaga from October 2022 to December 2022. In January 2023, Hanzhi joined OneThree Biotech as a Data Engineering Intern and served in this position until March 2023. Currently, Hanzhi is a Software Engineer Intern at Nextdoor, starting in June 2023.

Hanzhi (Helen) Tan pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Astrophysics and Computer Science at the University of Chicago from 2020 to 2024.
