Additionally, Gerard served as the publications editor at itSMF Australia from 2004 to September 2014 and worked as the editor of ARN (Australian Reseller News) at IDG Communications from November 1998 to September 2002, earning accolades for contributions to the IT industry. Gerard attended Macquarie University from 1998 to 1999, pursuing a degree in communications.
