Mark Zartler has a diverse work experience in the software industry. Mark started their career as a Software Engineer at Macromedia in 1993, where they worked on designing and delivering add-on features for the Macromedia FreeHand vector graphics application. In 1995, they joined 7th Level as a Senior Software Engineer, where they worked until 2001.
In 2002, Mark Zartler became the founder and Chief Scientist at Next IT. As the sole software engineer, they were responsible for the research, design, and implementation of successful language processing software. Mark also conceptualized, researched, developed, and marketed speech software for multimedia and games at Annosoft during the same period. Their role at Annosoft also involved developing strategic relationships, marketing plans, and engineering plans for high-quality game middleware.
Mark Zartler attended The University of Texas at Austin from 1987 to 1992, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees. Their fields of study included Computer Science and Liberal Arts.
