Brett Gordon has extensive experience in the field of human resources and talent development. Brett currently holds the position of Head of People Partners, Learning & Development, and Talent Management at Next Insurance, beginning in 2022. Prior to this, they worked at LinkedIn as the Sr. Director of Learning and Talent Development from 2019 to 2021. In this role, they led a team responsible for developing over 2,800 people managers. At PayPal, from 2016 to 2019, Brett held the positions of Head of Executive Talent Development and Global Talent Partnerships, as well as Director of HR Business Partner. During their time at HP from 2011 to 2016, they served as the Head of Human Resources for various business units, including Graphics Solutions, Laserjet and Enterprise Solutions, and in the CFO organization. Before HP, Brett worked at Calpine Corporation, where they led HR organizations and played a key role in the company's emergence from bankruptcy. Brett also gained experience as a Human Resources and Operations Consultant at The Camdon Company and as a Sr. HR Business Partner at Silicon Valley Bank. Early in their career, Brett worked as a Human Resources Consultant and Recruiter at Recruiting Solutions and in various human resources roles at California Casualty Management Company. Throughout their career, Brett has demonstrated leadership in talent development, coaching, inclusion and belonging, and HR strategy.
Brett Gordon has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Resource Development from Hawaii Pacific University. In addition, they have completed the iPEC Coaching program, which is accredited by the International Coach Federation. Brett also holds several certifications, including being an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) from the International Coach Federation, a Certified Brain Based Coach and Results Trained Coach from the NeuroLeadership Institute, a Certified Professional Coach (CPC) from iPEC Coaching, a Certified practitioner of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) from the Association for Psychological Type, and a Master Practitioner - Energy Leadership Index Assessment (ELI-MP) from iPEC Coaching.
