Alex Mishin has a diverse work experience in the field of data engineering and architecture. Alex started their career at Shlomo Zbeda Holdings Ltd. in 2014, where they served as a BI Developer and Business Analyst. During their time there, they managed the full life cycle of BI implementation for multiple companies within the group, designed key actionable reports, and defined business metrics and KPIs for monitoring.
In 2017, Alex joined Twiggle as a Knowledge Engineer, where they worked until 2018. Following that, they joined Panoply as a Data Architect. In this role, they developed machine learning models, built data pipelines and scripts for data warehouse management on AWS, and enabled data-driven decision making through the creation of dashboards and new KPIs.
Currently, Alex is working at Next Insurance as a Senior Data Engineer. In this role, they are responsible for leading the appraisal and comparison process for a big data processing engine, as well as building the data CI/CD process and dev/staging environments.
Throughout their career, Alex has demonstrated strong technical skills and a focus on improving performance and efficiency in data-related processes.
Alex Mishin has a diverse education history. Alex received a Master of Science degree in Management of Technology and Information from Tel Aviv University - Coller School of Management, which they pursued from 2018 to 2022. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Law from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where they studied from 2008 to 2012.
For their high school education, Alex attended Shevah Mofet High School from 2002 to 2008, where they focused on subjects like Math and Computers.
In addition to their formal education, Alex has also obtained several certifications. These include the AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in January 2023. Alex has also completed various specialization courses on data engineering, big data, machine learning, and analytics systems on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) through Coursera, with the most recent obtained in May 2021. Furthermore, Alex has certifications in database management, data science, statistical inference, R programming, and other data-related fields from Coursera and DataCamp.
