Erick Burroughs is an experienced legal and human resources professional currently serving as Managing Partner and General Counsel at Next Generation Recruitment and Staffing since September 2021. At Next Generation, focus is on placing experienced candidates across various sectors, including IT, Accounting, Finance, Hospitality, Legal, Administrative Support, and HR. Additionally, Erick holds the position of General Counsel for the National Association of African Americans in Human Resources - Atlanta Chapter since January 2018. Previously, Erick was Corporate Counsel and Senior Director of People at Mailchimp, where leadership spanned People Operations and Employee Relations. Prior roles include Corporate Counsel and HR Manager of Compliance at Southwest Airlines and Assistant General Counsel for Labor and Employment at Atlanta Public Schools. Erick's extensive experience also includes a tenure at the United States Department of Labor as an Attorney/Senior Compliance Officer. Erick Burroughs holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice/Psychology from Tennessee State University and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Tennessee College of Law.
