Rama Chandran is currently the CTO at Nexshore. Prior to this, they were with Nexshore Technologies as well as The Learner Train. From August 1998 to July 2016, they were with FANUC India Pvt Ltd as the Deputy General Manager - Computer Information Systems. There, they were responsible for FANUC's IT operations in India, handling Strategic Business-IT alignment, Technology and Innovation Management, Vendor Management, Application Development, Project Management, Data Center Operations and IT Operational Excellence. Prior to that, from May 1990 to July 1998, they were with Indian Express as a Programmer. There, they handled software help desk support at New Delhi, Chennai and Bangalore branch offices, as well as participated in software development as a part of the EDP team.

Rama Chandran has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Systems And Operations Management from Alliance University, a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Information Technology from Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology - SMU, and a General Management Programme in General Management from Indian Institute of Management, Indore. Rama also has a Master of Science (MS) in Information Systems And Applications from Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Software Technology and Systems Management from National Institute of Information Technology. Finally, they have a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Physics from University of Madras. In addition to their degrees, they also have certification from the Project Management Institute in Project Management Professional, EXIN in ITIL Foundation, and Scrum Alliance in Certified Scrum Master.
