Steve Oakes is a seasoned professional in the construction and development industry, currently serving as Development Manager for NexMetro Communities in Tampa since March 2023. Prior to this role, Steve held the position of VP of Development at Hogan Group from June 2005 to March 2023, where responsibilities included preparing bid packages, managing budgets, and overseeing various development phases. Steve's experience also includes serving as Project Manager/Partner at MI Inc, where involvement in the LA Fitness project encompassed preconstruction, bidding, and construction management. Earlier in Steve's career, time was spent as Project Manager/Superintendent at Turner Construction Company, managing project proposals, budgets, and subcontractor relations across various projects. Steve Oakes earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Building Construction from the University of Florida and a Master of Business Administration in General Business from Georgia State University.
