Francesco Santoro

Head of Group eCommerce European Partnerships at Nexi Group

Francesco Santoro has extensive work experience in various companies and roles. Francesco started their career at Accenture in 2007, where they worked as a Consultant until 2012. Francesco then joined Prometeia as a Manager from 2012 to 2014. Francesco then moved to UniCredit, where they held multiple positions, including Head of Marketing Communication IFABER and V.P. of Program Management Officer End-to-End Delivery Unit. Francesco worked at UniCredit from 2014 to 2018. Francesco joined Nexi in 2018 and held several roles, including Head of Marketing Digital Corporate Banking, Strategy Lead in Business Development & Strategy, and most recently, Head of eCommerce Partnerships / Italy & Greece. In 2020, they also joined The European House-Ambrosetti as part of their Advisory Board for the Cashless Society Community. In 2022, Francesco briefly worked at McKinsey & Company as a Proud Leaders - Europe. Their latest position is Head of Group eCommerce European Partnerships at Nexi Group, starting in 2023.

Francesco Santoro's education history is as follows:

Francesco Santoro attended Liceo Ginnasio "Tommaso Campanella" from 1997 to 2002, where they obtained their Diploma Maturità Classica with a focus on Studi classici e del mondo antico.

From 2002 to 2005, they pursued a Bachelor's degree at Università Bocconi, specializing in Economics and Management for Arts, Culture, and Communication.

Continuing their education at Università Bocconi, Francesco completed a Master of Science (MS) in General Management from 2005 to 2007.

In 2015, they enrolled in SDA Bocconi to pursue a Master's degree in Strategic Purchasing & Supply Chain Management, which they completed in 2016.

During the same year, Francesco also completed a Master's degree in Agile Project Management at SDA Bocconi.

In 2021, they attended the Leadership Outdoor Seminar at SCYFCO and obtained a certification in that field.

Francesco Santoro pursued further executive education in 2021 and 2022, completing an Executive MBA program at HEC Paris.

Additionally, they obtained certifications in Lean Six Sigma, including a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from Accenture in September 2009 and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from the same institution in March 2009.

In 2022, they participated in a program called "Lead and Act as a CEO" at Babson College.
