Carlos Ameixieira has worked for a variety of companies since 2009. Carlos began their career as a Cashier at Pingo Doce and a Receptionist at Hotel Aveiro Center. In 2011, they began working as a Researcher at Instituto de Telecomunicações, where they were responsible for the Vehicular Ad hoc NETworks (VANET) implementation described by IEEE Std 802. 11p and IEEE Std 1609. x/Wireless Access in the Vehicular Environment (WAVE). In 2013, they moved to Veniam, where they held various positions including Head of System Architecture, Software Architect, Senior System Engineer, Platform Lead, and System Engineer. Since 2022, they have been employed as the Principal Software Architect at Nexar Inc.

Carlos Ameixieira completed their Master's degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engeneering at Universidade de Aveiro from 2006 to 2011. Prior to that, they attended Escola Secundária Homem Cristo from 2003 to 2006.
